ANESTAPS hosted the second in-person partners’ meeting of the REACH project and the first mobility for the 15 members of the REACH Youth Task Force from October 13th to the 15th in Poitiers, France. The event was capped by the 53rd ANESTAPS Congress on October 16th with members of the REACH Youth Task Force in attendance.

The first day marked an important milestone in the REACH project were the consortium partners and the REACH Youth Task Force met in person for the first time. The great synergies that stemmed from online communication were confirmed during the joint meeting where the group discussed the direction of the Youth Engagement in Sport for All Charter (under development by ANESTAPS), and the next events in the communications planning. The Youth Task Force provided their input for designing the contents and structure of the next TAFISA M2030 Webinar on December 10th. This webinar will be a space for promoting the REACH project and the 9 Community Actions expected to be implemented throughout 2026 by the Youth Task Force.
The 9 Community Actions have been nurtured, emanated, and formalized through the capacity-building process that the TAFISA Certified Leadership Course have offered the Youth Task Force. The group participated in previous online sessions that culminated in two days of in-person training delivered by Game Mothibi (TAFISA Senior Manager) in Poitiers, on October 14th and 15th.

These two days were packed with insightful group discussions, inspirational revamp of perspectives when addressing sport and physical activity, and a recharged energy to drive impactful change through sport. The Youth Task Force peaked the training by sharing their proposal for Sport for All initiatives implemented within their communities.

It is now time to carefully work on the proposals to submit these to the REACH Consortium for approval and be ready for project implementation starting in January 2026. The proposals are fully funded by the REACH budget (co-funded by the European Union).
